Zinedine Zidane rejects four clubs as he continues to wait for his ‘dream’ coaching job.
Zinedine Zidane has rejected approaches from at least four European giants as he continues to wait for a dream return to management, according to a report.
Having cut his teeth as manager of Real Madrid Castilla, Zidane took charge of the senior team at the start of 2016 and won three consecutive Champions Leagues before leaving in 2018, to return to Madrid in 2019.
Zidane added another League title to his trophy cabinet before leaving again in 2021 and has been out of work since, although MARC insists that it is not for lack of offers.
In fact, Zidane is said to have turned down the chance to join Manchester UnitedJuventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich in the last three years, while some huge domestic sides are also believed to have approached the Frenchman.
Zidane, however, is only interested in returning to management with one of two parties: Real Madrid or France
Out of loyalty, Zidane does not see himself managing any club other than Madrid, with the French national team the only other team with a significant emotional link to Zidane.
It is stressed that Zidane could reconsider his position for an “exceptional” offer, but is in no rush to return to management and will not take another job if he is not fully satisfied with the proposal.
As it stands, neither Madrid nor France are looking for new managers. Carlo Ancelotti is signed to the Santiago Bernabéu until 2026, and Deschamps’ contract with Les Bleus expires in the same summer.
