‘Yellowstone’ and ‘1923’ spark cowboy core travel trend, ‘people are flocking to the great outdoors’

Back “Yellowstone” Final Being the first episode in the show’s history and “1923” releasing its second season in February, the western franchise has sparked renewed interest in the Cowboy staple.

Fans of the show have flocked to Montana and Wyoming since its launch in 2018, but post-Yellowstone travel trends seem to have ended its fifth season for two years.

“We always see an increase in interest for Wyoming and Montana when the show, or any rotation, drop new episodes,” Matt Appleby of travel said Fox Business.

“Fans want to see themselves on the screens, and they’re on vacation in search of adventure and solitude. Ranch in the desert,” he continued.

“These shows have been great for our national parks. People smell the great outdoors, and many tourism companies are taking notice,” said Appleby , for cowboy food.”

This was announced in 2023 by Lucy Beagle, Director of Communications for Sarachil Country Tourism. The Washington Post That Western Montana region, where seasons four and five of “Yellowstone” were filmed, has seen an increase in travel.

“We were definitely interested because of Yellowstone,” Beagle said. “If Montana wasn’t already on the map, and if people saw Yellowstone, it certainly is.”

The Washington Post reported that the University of Montana’s Bureau of Business and Economic Research and the Institute for Tourism and Recreation Research released a study that found Yellowstone fans will spend $730 million on tourism in 2021.

According to the study, two million people, Taylor Sheridan series, as a reason to visit Montana.

Butlett spoke with locals, including Hilary Falkward, who explained that Yellowstone “has been fine.” For Montana and Wyoming.

“It shows how beautiful Montana is. And we hope to preserve that as flight attendants,” he noted.

“My friends from the back east are watching it religiously. And they’re telling me, ‘It’s so magical. I think that’s what Montana is giving you.’

Carol Amos, a travel consultant for Travel, told Fox Business that Dude Ranches draws visitors to Montana and Wyoming so they can experience the “American frontier.”

“The best way to unleash your inner cowboy is on a girlfriend. I’ve taken many trips with my family around Colorado and Wyoming, and everyone loves it,” Amos said.

“A Boy Ranch is one of the few places where you go completely off the grid and immerse yourself in America. You can go horseback riding, fishing, or square dancing, and even learn how to learn if that’s what you’re interested in.”

“I especially like the breakfast or lunch trip, where you jump on the horse and head to the top of the mountain for an unforgettable view and you can just sit in your cabin. Try somewhere else,” he continued.

Amos emphasized that “you really turn into a cowboy, a girlfriend on the ranch.”

“Everyone has their shoes, their hat, their flannel shirts and they’re ready for adventure,” he concluded.

“Yellowstone” featured John Dutton (Kevin Costner) and the Dutton family trying to preserve their way of life and their family ranch in Montana Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser and WES Bentley.

The final episode of the western series airs on December 15.

“1923” follows the adventure of the Dutton family, which leads them to Montana. The series stars Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren and Brandon Skelnar. The show returns to the small screen on February 23.
