Wolves appoint Vitor Pereira as new manager
Wolves have confirmed Vitor Pereira as their new head coach, with the Portuguese manager signing an 18-month contract with the club.
At 56, Pereira brings a wealth of experience to Molineux, having won league titles in Portugal, Greece and China during his managerial career.
Former Al Shabab head coach in Saudi Arabia Pereira oversaw his first training session at Wolves’ Compton Park facility on Thursday.
He will make his Premier League debut as Wolves manager when the team take on Leicester City this weekend.
Pereira began his managerial journey in 2004 with Portuguese side Sanjoanense, and his CV now boasts 13 managerial positions in various countries.
He found great success at Porto, winning back-to-back Primeira League titles in 2012 and 2013, with his side losing just one league game over two seasons.
He later achieved a similar feat in Greece, where he led Olympiacos to the Super League title in 2015.

“Vitor is a highly respected and experienced coach who has achieved success in different leagues and will bring a fresh approach to the challenge ahead.
