According to DeadlineThe decision was made by WME on Saturday, December 21, for the talent agency to part ways with Baldoni, in part due to a sexual harassment complaint filed against the actor/director of his It ends with us Castor Blake Lively on Friday, December 20.
Lively, for her part, is still represented by WME.
On Friday, Lively filed a statement sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoniin which she blamed his behavior on set It ends with us — in which he starred, directed and produced — caused her “serious emotional stress.” (Lively also executive produced the film and played the title character, Lily Bloom.)
The lawsuit alleges that a meeting was held during the film’s production in January 2024 to address Lively’s claims of a “hostile work environment” on set. The meeting was attended by many people who worked on the film, including Baldoni and Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds.
According to the complaint, Lively’s demands for the meeting included “no more showing Blake nude videos or images of women, no more mentioning Baldoni is believed to have had a ‘pornographic addiction’ in the past no more discussions of sexual conquests in front of Blake and others, no further references to the genitalia of the cast and crew, no further inquiries about Blake’s weight, and no further references to Blake’s deceased father.’
In a statement to Us Weeklyattorney Baldoni Brian Friedman addressed Lively’s “completely false, outrageous and intentionally obscene” allegations, claiming the actress filed the lawsuit to “fix her negative reputation” and “reframe the narrative” regarding the film’s production.
On the other hand, Lively accused Baldoni’s team of deliberately dragging her name through the mud calculated company “astroturfing”..
In his statement to usFriedman also alleged that Lively made “several demands and threats” during filming It ends with ussuch as “threatened to not show up on set, threatened not to promote the film, which would ultimately lead to its demise at the box office if her demands were not met.”
In a statement to The New York Times in December, Lively said, “I hope my lawsuit will help pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about wrongdoing, and help protect others who may be targeted.” The actress also denied spreading negative information about Baldoni.
