Wicked Fox Games launches Kickstarter for Rise of Elements
Indie Game Studio Wicked Fox Games launches a Kickstarter Croodfanding Campaign for its introductory title, Match-3 RPG ElementsS
The game is rich in a story led by champion racing RPG, wrapped around PVP elementary match-3 mechanic. The KickStarter campaign offers awards for bectors, including exclusive skins, closed games and early access, physical items and other bonuses depending on the level of maintenance. The campaign lasts from March 4 to April 3, 2025.
Rise of Elements is the fully implemented version of the prototype, first created by Wicked Fox Executive Director Terry Redfield and another member of the current team nearly a decade ago. The rise of the elements is the spiritual heir of Puzzle Battler Force of Elements 2015.
Rise of Elements players compete in the Argos Champions Tournament in striving to reach the elements and to save the world of Etheron from the upcoming threat of void. It can be played competitively or more modificically through different modes of one player or multiplayer, including time, movements and history modes, with the possibility of additional modes in the future.
“Inspired by games like Puzzle Quest, Rise of Elements, was born of the lack of random games that promoted a soft competitive game with a deep story,” Redfield says in a statement. “It was a request that we consistently heard from Candy Crush players while working at King as a creative director of New IP, which made me design this game. We have achieved twenty percent of our funding goal in the first 24 hours, so we believe there is a lot of demand for such a game. “
Redfield added: “Now that it launches its first Kickstarter campaign, the team is turning their attention to fires at night. This is a good illustration of where we want to lead the studio and there are already some nice underground buzzs. In accordance with our interest in the legends and mythology of different cultures, fires at night are a story with the size of bites with survival elements. The first “story” in what we hope to be a series is inspired by the Hawaiian roots of the team and the stories that they were told as children that we would like to share with the world. “
Players choose from a list of different champions, each with their own set of movements, strengths and weaknesses and special elementary abilities. The variety of champions, attributes and play styles adds layers of tactical strategy to the basic gameplay based on precious stones. Wicked Fox plans to lean in this aspect for future expansion by potentially launching new champions and combat arenas, as well as cooperation.
The game currently contains such collaboration with the strime and television presenter Trisha Herserber, who partnered with the studio to vote and create champion Cordelia, an enthusiastic inventor. Another collaboration in the works is with the actress of Strimer and Voice Lily Ki, also known as Lilipu, the future champion Emily, the queen of the dead. Supporters to elevate elements will be able to follow the development of these champions and others.
In an interview with a Dice summit, Redfield said the team focused on telling stories about different topics and cultures.
“One of the main focuses of the studio is to create different characters and relaxing stories – often rooted in the mythology of culture, which will resonate and be available for a wide range of players,” Redfield said. “We are really glad to work with these creators and our community to further develop these distinctive and detailed characters.”
