On Wednesday, December 25, their episode The Amy and TJ Podcast.Holmes, 47, and Robach, 51, answered fans’ questions about the Christmas proposal, with Robach revealing that does not want to get engaged on holiday.
“I learned that no one should ever congratulate the bride after the proposal or the wedding,” she said. “We must congratulate the groom, because he is lucky to have her. But that may be old-fashioned.’
Holmes laughed off the comment, adding: “I’m lucky, I say that every day.” He then put to rest any speculation about whether he plans to pop the question over the holidays.
“And no, obviously, for those wondering, there won’t be an offer for Christmas,” he said.
Elsewhere in the episode, Holmes asked Robach on which days she was proposed to in the past.
“Random days that didn’t matter,” she recalled. (The worker was married Tim McIntosh from 1996 to 2008 Andrey Shue from 2010 until their divorce was finalized in 2023.)
Holmes, who was married Amy Pherson from 2004 to 2007 Marily Fiebig from 2010 to 2023seemed to dig in, recalling his own sentences, stating, “Random and minor (which I think is a way to describe a lot).
The couple often used their podcast, which they launched in December 2023, to look into the dynamics of their relationship. The joint venture appeared a year after the first one GMA3 costars made headlines for getting cozy outside the office.
Robach was married to Shu, 57, and Holmes was married to Fiebig, 47, at the time. Robach and Holmes filed for divorce after their relationship was exposed in November 2022, and have since claimed their marriage was over before they even started dating. Shu and Fiebig, for their part, have since moved on, dating each other.
Robach and Holmes surprised listeners earlier this month if the topic is engagement was brought up.
“It’s not if, it’s when. I like it. I really appreciate it,” Robach said, before recounting how Holmes turned her down when she asked about proposing to him. “TJ, you told me I should never propose to you.”

Holmes seemed surprised Robach’s statement, to which she added, “Remember when we talked about women proposing to men? But I’m just saying that if I answer that question, I feel it would be partly what I would say if I wanted to get married.’
Robach continued: “We obviously don’t have a date and we haven’t even decided what we’re going to do. (But) I said I wanted to, and I’d like to do it in the fall (and) it would be like me proposing to you.”
According to Holmes, he and Robach would be a married couple “Sooner rather than later.”
“I say this based on exclusive conversations with the bride,” he joked. “I say that because we’re not trying to figure things out. We’re not trying to find out if we want to be together. We’re not trying to do a trial run to see if it might work. We are not there.”
Holmes confirmed that a “decision has been made” about his and Roebuck’s future, noting, “If we get married, that will be a byproduct of what’s going on. And it goes.”
Meanwhile, Robach hinted that the pair have “they talked about marriage“, but did not discuss the wedding.
