Who won Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama at the Golden Globes 2025?

I’m still here Fernando Torres took home the trophy for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama during the ceremony on Sunday (January 5) at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.
“Oh my god, I didn’t prepare anything … It’s such an amazing year for female performances, there are so many actresses that I admire so much,” Torres, 59, said during her acceptance speechand she dedicated the award to her mother. “You have no idea, she was here 25 years ago, and it’s kind of proof that art can endure.”
Were five other nominees in the category, incl Pamela Anderson for The last dancer, Angelina Jolie for Maria, Nicole Kidman for A girl, Tilda Swinton for The room next door and Kate Winslet for Lee.
The category has been loaded with talent since its inception. Kidman, 57, leads the list with six wins and 18 career nominations. She has previously won awards for To die in 1996, Moulin Rouge! in 2002, Hours in 2003, Big Little Lie in 2018 and Ricardo’s future in 2022 while earning endorsements Billy Bathgate, Others, Cold mountain, Birth, Rabbit hole, Hemingway and Gellhorn, Newspaperman, Leo, Destroyer, Big Little Lie Season 2 and Cancellation.

This year, she won her second award in a different category: Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, for an HBO miniseries Mode.
For her part, 49-year-old Jolie already had three victories under her belt George Wallace in 1998, Family in 1999 and Girl, interrupted in 2000 She also had a total of nine career nominations, including for A powerful heart, Changer, Tourist, In the land of blood and honey and First they killed my father.
Ahead of the ceremony in 2025, Swinton, 64, had three previous bows for Deep edge in 2002, Michael Clayton in 2008 and We need to talk about Kevin in 2012.
As for Anderson, 57, and Torres, 59, this year marks their first ever Golden Globe nominations.
