Which Instax camera should you buy?

Other Instax cameras and printers

Fujifilm is constantly refreshing its Instax composition, adding new features such as Parallax Correction, and faster USB-C loading, which almost all Instax cameras now offer. In some cases, although the company has not stopped selling old models. Overall, we suggest that you stick to the latest models, but sometimes you will find deep discounts for older models. Here are some other models that are worth considering.

Instax Pal for $ 80: At the end of last year, Fujifilm introduced PAL, a tiny digital camera that you can also buy a printer with an Instax Mini Link 2 smartphone and 10 MINI Film Instax Pack. I haven’t tried a friend yet, but I’m struggling to find out who needs him. You can get many of the same functions in MINI EVO, but maybe EVO is less likely to live in the child’s hands? I will test this soon and report back.

Instax SQ 6 for $ 150- $ 200: This is for me on the head. As noted above, the SQ 6 is a better camera than SQ 1 or SQ 40, which seems to have replaced SQ 6. Heck, even there was a version of Taylor Swift on SQ 6 (I wouldn’t hate what was going on in eBay). Whatever the case, Fujifilm no longer lists SQ 6 on its Instax website. Still, if you like the square format, the SQ 6 is a fantastic camera. It has a number of manual features that are not in the rest – I particularly like lightening and eclipse modes that can be used as exposure compensation – in addition to the fully automatic SQ 40. There are some nice extras such as selfie timer, closing mode and turn off the flash. It seems that there are still quite a few old shares there, so if you can find the one for about $ 100 to $ 150 and love the square movie, I say, go for it.

Instax Mini 11 for $ 80- $ 120: This one is covered above, but in case you missed it, Mini 11 is almost never worth buying. This is just a few dollars cheaper than the more MINI 12 and lacks most features that make the Mini 12 such a good purchase. If you can find the one for less than $ 50, it might be worth it, but otherwise avoid MINI 11.

Instax Mini Link Printer for $ 145: Fujifilm’s Instax Mini Link was replaced by Mini Link 2, but the upgrades were insignificant and, to be honest, I cannot understand the difference in print quality. If you can find the original mini connection for less than the price of the relationship 2, continue. The 2 -dollar connection is sold most of the time, so if you can find the connection for less, take one. Both are great printers.

Instax 7s/8/9: These are all the older, low-end Instax models. They all use a fixed shutter speed of 1/60, while the comparative price of the Mini 12 Auto Exposure can choose between 1/2 to 1/250 seconds shutter speeds, making it much more flexible. Given that most of them are difficult to find anyway, give them a pass.
