The Cricket West Indies (CWI) has recently unveiled a 15-member squad for a much-anticipated two-match Test series against Pakistan, scheduled to take place from January 16-28, 2025. This tour marks a significant return for West Indies to Pakistan for Test cricket after an 18. -year hiatus, making him a focal point for cricket fans and analysts alike.

Composition of the team

Leading the squad is Craig Brathwaitewith Joshua Da Silva serving as his vice-captain. The composition of the team includes experienced players alongside up-and-coming talent, aiming to combine experience with youthful energy.

Notable returns and debuts

The team sees the return of the left-arm spinner Gudakesh Movementwho missed the recent tied series against Bangladesh but he’s back to bolster the spin attack. A notable inclusion is Amir Jangoothe left-handed batsman whose recent performances, including a match-winning ODI century on debut against Bangladesh, have earned him his first Test call-up.
