Samsung’s theme for CES 2025 is ‘AI for All’. (Samsung)

Samsung is the 800-pound gorilla of CES, a global electronics giant that makes mobile devices, televisions and home theater products, and kitchen appliances—just to name a few. Traditionally, CES has been used to remind the world that it is a major competitor in all of these arenas, while also offering a peek behind the curtain at some of the more advanced technologies.

In 2024 for example, Samsung’s CES press conference covered all the usual iterative updates — new TVs, new projectors, new soundtracks — but also offers some really futuristic early looks at the product. And while we won’t see transparent MicroLED screens at your local Best Buy soon, you can now purchase Music Frame speaker which was first shown at CES 2024. But it is Robot balla two-time CES veteran that we most hope will make another appearance – ideally with a real-world release date this time.

Or maybe Bali will be more autonomous this time. That would fit better with the “AI for All: Everyday, Everywhere” theme the company announced for its Las Vegas launch. The Korea-based giant has already published several weeks of early CES announcements on its online editingtouting AI-enhanced refrigerators and appliances with built-in screens. But there are things that aren’t AI: Samsung pre-announced a 27-inch QD-OLED gaming monitorand the company has partnered with Google (!) to deliver Eclipsa, a new 3D audio technology that apparently aims to be an alternative to Dolby Atmos and DTS.

One thing you shouldn’t expect to see in Vegas: the alleged Galaxy S25 line of smartphones. If it follows its recent schedule, Samsung will likely schedule this reveal for the second half of January, when it will be the focus of tech news. (Last year it was a January 17th event that was announced on January 11.)

You can watch the Samsung CES press conference as it happens here. The broadcast will begin on Monday, January 6 at 5:00 PM ET. (We’ll add the embed once it’s available.)
