Watch: A raging LA fire burns behind a CBS reporter
A fire burning in Pacific Palisades, an affluent Los Angeles neighborhood near Malibu and Santa Monica, is growing at an alarming rate.
Its trajectory was boosted by a severe wind event – dry winds from the mountains to the north and east and towards the LA coast called “Santa Ana winds”.
CBS News correspondent Danya Bakus reports from the scene. He explains how the “explosive” inferno grew, the winds sending embers spreading the flames.
