Warriors’ Steph Curry gets candid about his NBA retirement

The star of the Golden State Warriors Stephen Curry He remains one of the most recognizable figures in the NBA.

While Curry didn’t put a specific number on the number of seasons he’s retired, he made it clear that his desire to win is strong.

“It’s a matter of recognizing that me and (Warriors teammate) Draymond (Green) are in our prime. You know, we’re in a situation where you have to think about the game a little bit differently. But if you’re not winning, the answer is, ‘How can we do this for me? ?’ “I only have a certain year left and I desperately want to win. Yeah, it’s a funny term because that’s what we’re trying to figure out.”

The Warriors’ 2024-25 campaign got off to a strong start as the team jumped out to a 12-3 record. But Golden State enters the Christmas Day matchup Los Angeles Lakers With a 15-13 record and currently in eighth place in the Western Conference.

The Warriors failed to qualify for the playoffs last season after losing in the NBA Play-In tournament. Curry and his teammates want to avoid a repeat of that this season, and the February trade deadline could be critical to their 2024-25 hopes.

The Christmas Day game between the Warriors and Lakers will begin at 8:00 PM ET.
