Vivienne and ex-husband David Paul Ludford relationship timeline

It’s late Drag Race a star Vivien and ex-husband David Paul Ludford had a stormy romance.

Vivienne (real name James Lee Williams) met Ludford while on vacation in Gran Canaria, Spain in 2017. The couple got along and soon started dating. Almost a year after their vacation date, Vivienne and Ludford became engaged. They tied the knot in 2019.

After the wedding, Vivienne and Ludford remained close to each other, pursuing their passions. However, after four years of marriage, they parted amicably.

Two years after their breakup, Vivienne died at the age of 32. The police confirmed Hello! in January 2025. “suspicious circumstances” in v drag death star. The cause of death was not revealed at the time. After learning about the death of the former, Ludford paid their respects to Vivien.

Vivienne and Ludford met while vacationing in Gran Canaria, Spain. In January 2025, Ludford revealed that she and the drag artist “clicked immediately” and knew they were “going to be together” for a long time.

May 2018

After dating for less than a year, Vivienne and Ludford became engaged. Vivienne later revealed that they were the ones who popped the question in Las Vegas.

“One year ago today I fell (knee) 550 feet above the Las Vegas strip! Referee was @larryedwardslv 😂😂,” they wrote via Instagram in May 2019 “You are a fool, but every day I love you more and more! Love you David ❤️❤️❤️”.

The couple tied the knot after dating for almost two years.

December 2020

Vivienne marked her first wedding anniversary with Ludford with a touching tribute.

“Happy anniversary to my handsome husband David. I can’t believe that a whole year has passed since our fabulous wedding,” they wrote via Instagram next to their wedding photos. “You changed my life, made me so happy and now I love you more than ever ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

January 2022

Ludford and Vivienne took a special trip as a couple to the place where they first fell in love.

“It’s so nice to be away! Back to GC where David and I first met,” the reality star wrote along with an Instagram selfie couples on the beach. “Memories at every corner! So wonderful! X.”

October 2022

The couple celebrated the purchase of their first home together.

“We got the keys to our new house today!” Vivienne signed an Instagram Reel. “So excited for this new chapter Angel @d.ludford!”

April 2023

Vivienne and Ludford announced their separation after four years of marriage.

“As many have noticed, David and I recently parted ways. We have decided to separate after an amazing 5 1/2 years,” Vivienne wrote in a joint Facebook statement with Ludford in April 2023. “We’re still very much friends, but sometimes life gets in the way and people drift apart. We wish each other the best and will always be a part of each other’s lives.”

January 2025

Ludford wrote a touching tribute to Vivien after their sudden deaths.

“We’ve literally been through and done so much together it’s been like a whirlwind and I wouldn’t trade the time we had together for anything in the world!!!” he wrote. “I feel like a tit, feeling sad and hurt because we’ve been completely divorced for a little over a year, but we’ve been together for 6 years and we love each other so much and you can’t take that away.”

The wig designer added that he is “very happy” to have spent six years with The Vivienne and that they will “always have a place in my heart 💔💔”.

“Will miss you more than people will ever know sleep in peace angel 🫶🏻🙏🏼🪽,” Ludford concluded.

In a follow-up post, Ludford shared some throwback photos of him and Vivienne throughout their relationship.
