View POC Obex Connect headset: Strong and clear

Spend the most Since my winter weekends at Colorado Snowboarding in the resorts around the state. The best part for me is the social aspect -there is no tea more hot than the one that spilled on the lift. But if you’ve ever been skiing or snowboarding, you know that sometimes communication is limited, for example, when they increase. (It’s cool, this is just my second season!) If I train myself, it’s also nice to have fun.

I used Bluetooth ushow to listen to podcasts and music when I ride, and tested some of the helmet audio systems, but the sound is usually mech. I have never actually got into regularly listening to something on the slopes. I recently had the opportunity to try POC Obex Connect Headset, an audio and a helmet communication system that the brand recently launched with Harman Kardon. The quality of the audio of this thing blew up my mind and officially turned me into someone who always needs a few soundtracks every time snowboarding.

Thehe Obex Connect Headset You can pair with any of the helmets in the Obex line of POC or you can include it in Obex Connect Backcountry SlemS I tried it with Obex mipsAnd it was easy and intuitive to install. I pulled out the ordinary helmet ear pads and clicked the Obex connection, then removed the connecting cable behind the adjusting dial at the back of the helmet. Audio ear pads felt just as soft, well stored and warm as those offered with the helmet.

They also include the same space for your ears – I have never felt that the pads are pressed against my head. Instead, they pressed my ears. If you have earrings that you do not take out, you know how important this is!

The Obex MIPS helmet itself is a solid piece of gear. It has a comfortable, light feeling, with a dial to adjust the size of the interior, adjustable openings for excess, clip of glasses, adjustable plastic strap for the chin of the clip and the front ventilation on the glasses to prevent blurring. As stated in the name, the helmet has a multidirectional impact protection system (MIPS), the gold standard in the helmet structure that allows your head to move to the helmet during impact and limited rotating force.

Once the system was installed in my helmet, I downloaded the POC Connect app (iOS., Android), and I tried to pair my phone with the handset via Bluetooth. I couldn’t do this directly from the app – I had to enter the Bluetooth settings on my iPhone and choose the handset, but it was visible there and paired immediately. The process was fast and easy, even on the windy mountain road on the way to a ski resort. Then I could control the music, calls and my voice assistant from the helmet itself.
