US Secretary of Education Linda McMahon attends at ASU+GSV The summit this week, where education and technology experts gathered to discuss how AI would affect the training.

While talking to an AI panel in the workforce, McMahon repeatedly cited AI as ‘A1’ as Steak sauceS

“You know, II development – I want to say how we can train at the speed of light if we don’t have the best technology around to do it?” she said. “I heard … that there is a school system that will start to make sure that first-graders or even pre-KS is conducting A1 teaching every year, starting so far in the grades. This is a wonderful thing!”

In McMahon’s defense, she doesn’t seem to think that artificial intelligence is shortened “A1”. During the panel, she said “AI” at the beginning, but becomes less consistent.

“It was not so long ago that” We will have the internet in our schools! “She continued. “Now let’s see A1 and how this can be useful.”

AI is such a ubiquitous term that it seems difficult to imagine how one could forget the right abbreviation – as if it were a professional athlete referring to Major League’s baseball as “NFL”.

Sometimes people are wrong. No one is perfect. But it feels like a greater breath than usual, especially comes from the secretary of education.
