In the UK, only half decreased in 2024, as the most harsher of the visa came into force, with numbers that can reduce the pressure on the work government.
The National Statistics Office reports that the net immigration was 431,000, below the previous year, less than 860,000 last year, less people arrive at work and more emigration to learn from those who came to higher emigration.
Long-term immigration was 948,000 in December 2024, almost a third of March 2022, 2007.
Long-term emigration was estimated at 517,000, 11% last year until 2017, the last level.
The decline in the arrival reflects the tougher rules of 2023, including the ban on care workers and international students, which bring the families of Great Britain and high salaries for skilled workers.
Last week, Prime Minister Sir Keyir Starmer’s government plans to reduce the numbers, including the closure of the care employee’s visa route, lesser-language requirements and a longer way to gain computational rights in the UK.
