“Uber for Armed Guards” rushes to the market after the assassination of UNITEDHEATHALCARE CEO
Protector, an app that allows you to book armed chases in the same way you would call for Uber, has a viral moment. The app began to make circles on social media after consultant Nikita Bier published for him at X.

Protector allows the User Book of Armed Security on request. It is currently available only in New York and LA. According to its marketing, every guard is either an “active obligation, or retired law enforcement and military”. Each reservation comes with a forklift and users can choose the number of escalations that will join them, as well as the uniforms that will carry their hired pants.
Protector is currently “#7 on the journey” on Apple’s App Store. It is not accessible to people who use Android devices. Unfortunately, Google Phone fans, if you want your own armed pants, you will need to resort to more traditional GOON employment methods.
The Protector marketing who lives on its x accountis surreal. A series of healthy and humps with barrels in unscrupulous black suits deliver their credentials to the camera while sitting in front of a black background. They are all operators. They describe the careers in the SWAT teams and are located in the war zones. They show pictures of vanity of themselves, adapted to the operator’s equipment. They all have a red pin on the lapel wearing the tread symbol.

Who is this for, you can ask? A video, published on January 6, 2025, which works a little over two minutes, gives the game. It opens with a photo of the murders of UNITEDHEATHALTHCARE CEO Brian Thompson. “We will go through a scenario to demonstrate, where if a defender was present, the crisis could be prevented,” says the defender in the video. He then went through several fantastic versions of the murder, where he was defender to prevent the killer from killing the CEO.

In the first scenario, the self -written “operator” stops the possible killer to approach enough to cause any damage. It diverts the shooter and nothing happens. In the second scenario, the defender launches the killer into the stomach while painting his weapon. Third, the killer receives a shot, but the defender is able to shoot the killer in the chest. He then rolls it over to the wound and ties his hand behind his back.
Protector is a kind of rotating for its Protector Protector security solutions. The whole thing is the birth of founder Nick Sarat, who has been working as a product designer at Meta for a year before establishing his own company in 2020. It was Poparazzi, a competitor of Instagram who burned brightly and then diedS
He founded Protector Security Solutions in October 2024 and began collecting two applications: Protector and Patrol. The patrol is sold in the same way with the same people. Frightened suburban neighbors join their resources to hire private security for their neighborhood. Add more money to unlock more levels, more cars, more drones and more guards.

Two days after Thompson was shot on the streets of Manhattan, Sarat released a press release, which promised to rush to the market. “My deepest condolences are with the CEO of the family and friends of UNITEDHEATHALTHCARE Brian Thompson,” Sarat said in the statement. “We rely on law enforcement to protect us, but they cannot be everywhere at once. Protector is intended to support the goals of law enforcement and will provide an affordable way for people to protect themselves and their loved ones. “
“Our trained and experienced team is ready to help provide improved security for all citizens as soon as we start,” he continued. “We are here to help the law enforcement agencies and we are eventually here to help you.”
