US President-elect Donald Trump has threatened Denmark with “extremely high” tariffs if it resists an attempt to seize control of the self-governing Danish territory of Greenland.
Asked on Tuesday whether he would rule out using military or economic force to seize control of the strategically important island, he replied: “No, I can’t assure you of either of those.”
