Trump extends the Tiktok ban deadline by 75 days
President Donald Trump has extended the deadline for the ban on Tiktok by 75 days. Trump Share Publication on Truth Social On Friday, stating that he signed an enforcement order to allow more time to finalize a transaction. The message comes only one day before the ban will take effect.
“My administration works very hard on a deal to save the Tittok and we have made great progress,” Trump writes. “The transaction requires more work to ensure that all necessary approvals have been signed, which is why I sign an enforcement order to maintain Tiktok and run for an additional 75 days.”
Today’s message marks a second time that Trump extends the deadline for the ban on Tiktok. The initial Bytedance period for the sale of Tiktok operations was on January 19, according to a law signed last year by former President Joe Biden.
