WASHINGTON, “Reuters”: Donald Trump named Saturday after Stanley Woodward (NASDAQ:), a lawyer who has represented several top aides and associates of the incoming president, as well as people accused in the January 6, 2021 attack, to join the White House legal team.

Trump’s transition team said in a statement that Woodward will serve as an assistant and senior adviser to the president and will work closely with Trump’s White House chief of staff, previously named Susie Wiles.

Last month, Trump named David Warrington as his top lawyer to lead the White House legal team, reversing course from his former pick, William McGinley, who went to work with an outside team led by billionaire Elon Musk and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.

Trump’s inauguration is scheduled for January 20.

Woodward, based in Washington, D.C., has represented many people in Trump’s inner circle over the years, including adviser Dan Scavino, trade adviser Peter Navarro and aide Walt Nauta.

He also represented some of the defendants accused in the Jan. 6 attack on the US Capitol, including Oath Keeper Kelly Maggs.

Trump also said three aides who served in his first term in the White House would return: Robert Gabriel, Nicholas Luna and William “Bo” Harrison.
