Travis Kelce Responds To Lil Wayne's Accusation That Kansas City Chiefs Are 001 Scams

Travis Kelce answered afterwards lil wayne revealed his beef with the Kansas City Chiefs’ “cheating” on social media.

During Chiefs NFL divisional playoff game On Saturday, Jan. 18, in a game against the Houston Texans, Wayne, 42, spoke to the “X” and made his feelings about Kelsey’s team clear.

“I hate azz cheaters,” the rapper wrote.

U next postWayne added: “It’s not even impressive when you cheat and then clearly try to cheat. Just win, baby.”

The rapper, who is known to be a football fan and die-hard Green Bay Packers fan, was specifically referring to the narrative that has followed the Chiefs all season: that NFL referees favor the two-time defending Super Bowl champions. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was also charged with a failed attempt at a roughing the passer penalty by flopping on the sideline during the fourth quarter of the game.

On Wednesday, January 21, their episode “New Heights” podcast, travis and his brother, Jason Kellsaddressed the dispute head on.

“The whole world was talking about something else during the game, and I’m sure you saw some of it, but they were complaining about the refs again, Trev,” Jason said.

In the podcast, Jason, 37, read Wayne’s message out loud and berated him for his spelling. “Spelling ass with two z’s,” he joked.

“Sink, man,” Travis, 35, said, referring to Wayne’s nickname.

Jason then read a message back to Wayne defending Kelsey and the Chiefs against the cheating allegations.

“People will literally see this and say, ‘That’s what I thought. The refs are against the Texans,” Jason said. “Bro, the Texans left the playoff leading nekkid wide open for 4 quarters and yet the Chiefs needed those calls.”

Travis laughed hysterically and said, “They did. They left me naked.”

The tight end had 117 receiving yards and a touchdown in a 23-14 win over the Texans that earned them a trip to the AFC Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills.

When asked to give his own response to the officiating in the game, namely the two controversial roughing the passer calls against the Texans, Travis decided to “ask for the fifth.”

Mahomes, 29, spoke during the umpiring interview with 96.5 The Fan on Tuesday, January 21.

“I realized that no matter what happens during the game, something will show up if you win and keep winning, so I don’t pay attention to it,” Mahomes said. “I mean, obviously, I’ve been on both sides of it as far as how I felt the calls were made, but at the end of the day, man, these guys are doing everything they can to make the best calls and keep it where the players make the play in the game . And that decides the result.”

He added: “And obviously there was a call here or there that people disagreed with, but at the same time I think there were a lot of other plays that really decided the outcome of that football game.”

As for the failure claims, Mahomes admitted they had some credence.

“I would say the only thing I felt I probably did too much was the one on the sideline where I didn’t get the flag and the ref saw it and didn’t throw the flag and I knew that right away, and I know I probably shouldn’t have done that,” Mahomes said.

The Chiefs face the Bills in the AFC Championship Game on CBS on Sunday, January 26th at 6:30pm ET.
