Instagram threads, Meta and X competitor’s most social network is officially Moving from the Threads.net website to threads.com. Transition will match a handful of quality of life for the Threads web application, including features for easier access Personalized emissionsSaved publications and likes, as well as other tools for creating new columns, copying publications for resolution, finding your favorite creators from X thread and more.

Meta had Initially started His new Social App in July 2023 by URL Threads.net, as the SEQUIA Alternative -backed out of the Threads.com domain at that time. (This startup Sold on Shopify last year.)

In September 2024 Meta acquired the domain of threads.com and later He began to redirect URL fibers.com to threads.net.

As of today, Meta explains that users will no longer be redirected from .com to .NET; This will be the opposite.

Continuing forward, if you enter Threads.com into your browser, you will go directly to the home screen on the thread without being redirected. Meanwhile, those who introduce Threads.net will be redirected to URL themes.com.

The change gives Meta a more prominent and better remembered URL for its social application, which now reaches over 320 million active users a month to the last META public profit message in January. The rebrand variety can allow the app to compete better with its competitor X, who also has a memorable (and simple!) Domain name.

In addition to this change, Instagram leader Adam Moseri on Thursday announced several other minor updates coming to the Threads web app, which is often used by creators.

He said users will now see that their custom emissions appear in the web application in the same order as they appear in the mobile app. Plus, users will now have access to their liked and saved posts through the main menu instead of having to create a nailed column to see them.

Another new addition allows users to copy a post post as an image instead of having to screen it. This will facilitate sharing publications in other applications, such as Instagram, thinks Meta.

Threads users will also be able to add a column by clicking on a new column icon on the right side of the screen.

And they will be able to click on the Plus “+” button in the lower right to open a new window and make a publication.

There is also a new feature that allows people to find and follow the same creators who previously followed X. This feature was introduced earlier this month And it works, with users downloading an archive of their X data, which goes to threads.

Those who had previously had access to the function were shown pop -up, saying that they could now “find popular creators from X.” The function remains when testing, Meta says.
