America’s Hottest rankings saw some shake-ups real estate markets this year for higher-end holiday homes than last year, and this year the number one spot has seen a meteoric rise in popularity.

Here are the most sought-after locations for second homes in 2024, according to the findings.

1) Cape May County, New Jersey

The report found that Cape May County outside of the Jersey Shore, outside the top 20 last year, took the title of No. 1 spot for a second home in 2024, and it wasn’t even close.
