This wild phone concept allows you to add a full -size lens to take pictures
For many people, buying a telephone is equivalent to the purchase of a personal camera. But the Chinese phone manufacturer Realme blurs this line with a conceptual device that allows you to change the lens by phone, similar to the High -end mirrorsS
The concept phone for a Realme interchangeable lens does exactly what the name suggests and is on display of Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona. You can attach a full -frame lens directly to the device, leaving you to improve the increase or use different lenses for creative photos. The Realme phone has an adapter that allows you to install professional lenses that attach to much more expensive stand-alone cameras like A Leica m11 or Canon R6. You can even use some old DSLR lenses if you still have around.
The concept of Realme’s interchangeable lenses allows DSLR lenses to be attached to the phone for improved photography.
Realme says the concept uses a 1-inch personalized Sony Sensor (the sensor is not actually an inch size), paired with its own lens mounting system. If such a phone ever comes to the market, it can allow high quality photography that can quickly be edited or archived to cloud services using the phone.
The sensor is similar to the one used in Xiaomi 15 Ultra And the referee’s concept is like the one that Xiaomi showed in 2022 with 1-inch 1-inch sensor UltraS This year at MWC, Xiaomi showed a new concept of a full-size camera lens, which houses an even larger image sensor and attached magnetically to the back of the Xiaomi 15. The concept is similar to QX100 A lens/sensor combo sold in 2013, which can head to the back of the phone.
Similarly, Realme also shows a Retoucher voice image, which promises to allow you to edit a photo by talking to a voice assistant.
The concept of interchangeable lenses also reminds me of Samsung Galaxy Camera More than a decade ago, which put Android inside a point camera and shooting. However, we have not seen such devices since then, such as Samsung instead retains its highest-end ambitions for phones such as $ 1300 Galaxy S25 UltraS
