Therabody Theragun Pro Plus Review: Intense muscle relief
Do you recover by a marathon workout or an attempt to untie yourself with your shoulders after hours spent on the screen, percussion therapy can help. Therabody has long governed the space of massage weapons, and its Theragun Pro Plus (sixth generation) is the most ambitious model of the company so far. It takes away percussive therapy with deep tissue, which is also known to be layers of thermal therapy, vibrations and close infrared LED technology to restore everything in one. This is part of Jackhammer, part of a spa treatment (General guidelines for safety, here).
There is even an optional cold therapy attachment. The manual version is better – you won’t catch me to rush into a Cold During this life.

At $ 600, Pro Plus is an investment and it looks like the part. The matte black housing-made of durable plastic and TPU-ses fuses a solid, the OLED screen gives a luxury edge, and the triangular multi-stage design helps to distribute weight to reduce the wrist tension. Still, at 3.63 pounds (no attachments), this is the most severe terragun so far. Holding him over his head for long periods will feel like a workout on her own.
The OLED screen has a powerful meter so you can see exactly how much pressure you apply. I enjoyed this feature because I felt like a delicate push for me to put more pressure. This can also be useful for others that can go too hard.

Pro Plus comes with seven attachments: standard five (shock absorber, standard ball, thumb, micro-spot and wedge), plus two specialized heads for percussive thermal and vibration therapy. The heated attachment has three temperature settings (113 ° F, 122 ° F, 131 ° F). It does not become hot as a heating pad, but when it is paired with shocks, it feels spa in a spa.
I started using it before training my four -legged and this made a noticeable difference in how much I felt in a rotation class. Pro Plus is also compatible with the affection of the cold therapy of Therabody, but for $ 89 extraIt feels like a precipice. Once I test it, I would also say that it is not essential unless you are a fan of contrast therapyS
What are the various attachments used for?
- Shock absorber: Use on delicate muscles or bone areas.
- Standard ball: To massage the whole body to reduce tension.
- Thumb: For trigger points and lower back to relieve nodes.
- Micro-spot: For increased stimulation and circulation.
- Wedge: For shoulder blades, she strips, scraping and washing.
- Percussive heat: Loosen hard muscles and accelerate recovery.
- Vibration: Use on muscles and joints for pain, circulation and sensitive treatments.
- Cold therapy (sold separately): Reduces pain, swelling and inflammation.
How do I clean my Theragun?
According to Therabody’s website, use only Magic tire Or a damp cloth to wipe your device. This also applies to most attachments except supersoft (not compatible with Pro Plus).
Recovery or over -Collate?
As for power, Pro Plus delivers. Its 16mm amplitude and five-speed settings (1,750-2,400 rpm) make it one of the most intense massages on the market. The processed EQ-150-without-a-brush engine is also 20 percent quieter than the previous generation, which is a pleasant improvement. It is not silent, but it should not be disturbing if you have roommates or pets. Battery life varies depending on the features you use, but is about 150 minutes with standard settings.
This said some of the features may feel extra. For example, Therabody releases its close infrared LED therapy as a recovery amplifier that increases blood flow and reduces muscle tenderness. A study by the company supports this, but with daily use the effects are difficult to note unless you recover from injury. There is also a built -in biometric sensor to track the heart rate, but in practice it does not add much to my experience and I rarely used it.
