The US strikes on Sana’a come amid the latest series of attacks between the Yemeni rebel group and the Israeli military.
The United States military launched airstrikes on targets linked to Houthi rebels in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, including a missile depot and a “command and control” post.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM), which oversees US military operations in the Middle East, said on Saturday that the strikes were aimed at “disrupting and degrading Houthi operations”.
CENTCOM said on social media that the Iran-allied group had previously attacked US Navy and merchant ships in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandeb and the Gulf of Aden. post.
The US strikes come amid an increase in attacks between the Houthis and the Israeli army this week.

In the latest incident, on Saturday morning, the Houthis said they fired a ballistic missile into the center of Israel.
