The UK’s competition body says Microsoft Openai’s partnership is not quality to investigate

The British Competition Authority, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), said On Wednesday, that Microsoft’s partnership with Openai is not eligible for investigation under the provisions of the merger of the UK Enterprises Act of 2002, the Law on the Anti -Commons of the Country.

The full text of the decision will be published soon, CMA said.

CMA began investigating Microsoft’s partnership in December 2023. The technical giant is a top investor in Openai after poured out Nearly $ 14 billion in the launch of AI. Microsoft also packs many of OpenAi’s technologies in a managed proposal called Azure Openai Service, and it works closely with Openai to develop products such as Microsoft’s Copilot Chatbot and Microsoft Coding Assistant.
