The Trump Administration is considering new restrictions on the Chinese AI Laboratory Depepeek, which would limit it from the purchase of NVIDIA AI chips and will potentially bar for Americans to have access to its AI services, The New York Times reports on Wednesday.
The restrictions are part of the Trump administration’s efforts to compete with China on AI. Months after Deepseek shook both Silicon Valley and Wall StreetUS officials seem to weigh several options to limit China’s access to US technology and consumers.
