The rival rival Ghost is already linked to Fediverse
Ballot platform GhostOpen Code for the sub -end code is is now linked to the fedever, Also known as Open Social Web. Federal applications Complete the ActivityPub ProtocolWhich ones are powering apps Mastodone., Pixelfed., Topics., FlipboardAnd others allowing publications published in one application to be seen and engaged with those of other federal platforms.
Ghost said last year that he works on integration with Activitypub, which would allow his publishers to share their blog posts with the wider open social network.
The company expected integrations to come out live last year. However, ghost this week declared Starting your social web beta, which now allows for every site working on Ghost Pro subscription to try the new Activitypub integration.
The Beta function is still in active development, the company notes in its help documentationBut it is expected to be delivered in a more financialized condition in the Ghost 6.0 edition.

When Ghost Pro users connect their blog or newsletter to Fediverse, others on the open social network will be able to follow their account handle. This handle is a combination of “@index”, representing the homepage of the post, followed by the domain name (@thousite.com).
Ghost says users will soon be able to customize the @index part of their @endex @thousite.com handle.
Federal applications users will then be able to follow Ghost Publisher publications, as well as interact with them by like, responding or reposted.
To help Ghost Publishers also participate in Fediverse and build their readership, Ghost also launches a social web reader. Here, users can view the “emission” of the content of short forms shared in the federation, including publications of services such as Mastodon and Threads.
In a separate zone called “Inbox”, ghost users can keep up with long -form content, such as articles posted on Ghost or WordPress, the popular posting platform that Integrated with Fedever in 2023
“Think about the inbox screen like your mailbox. When you follow other social network posts, new articles you are posting will appear here,” explains the Ghost help page. “Clicking on a post will open a built -in reader view, right inside the ghost, and when you reach the end, you will be able to like, repost or answer.”
By integrating these two emissions into the Ghost administrator, Ghost will already allow their publishers to directly publish content with short form of Fediverse, helping them to build their reputation and to follow on an open social network.
The Ghost reader also signals interactions users by following, answers, likes and reposts in the Notices section. Plus, users can customize their profile page to offer a visualization to their social web account, following/followers and their content, both short and long.
Later, the company hopes deeper to integrate the social web profiles of users with ghost members, but so far they work independently from each other. Other coming features include tools for blocking, reporting and jamming people or adding images or media to notes and answers.
There are some problems with the compatibility and with Ghost Reader, most of all, the Meta threads. The company says Ghost users can search and find the profiles of the users of the thread, but no interactions work because the threads block them. (The problem is from the threads and Ghost suggests that users mention Instagram leader Adam Mosry to fix it.)
To try Ghost Social Web Beta, Pro subscribers can target the Ghost administrator and then activate beta in the settings and then laboratories.
Today the ghost is used by several remarkable Publications Including Casey Newton’s platform, 404 media, lever, David Sirot’s entangle, the inside of Jason Kalakanis, Sfist and others.
