David Haddad, who was president of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for 12 years, is leaving the company. He will be leaving in April.

During his tenure at the publisher, WBIE saw some major successes with franchises such as Batman, Harry Potter and Mortal Kombat. In recent years, however, the publisher has struggled with omissions such as Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

“David has thoughtfully and purposefully chosen a time when our release schedule is lighter, which will help minimize disruption to our ongoing projects and strategic plans and allow this team to seamlessly prepare for their next record-breaking title.” , Warner Bros. Discovery global streaming and gaming CEO and president JB Perrette said in a memo to staff, which was reported by Diversity.

Warner Bros. Discovery is looking for his successor. Haddad had a long career at Warner Bros. and transitions after such stable leadership can prove challenging. His remaining time at the publisher until April should help make that transition smoother.

“I’m so proud of everything we’ve accomplished together at Warner Bros. Games during my time with the company,” noted Haddad. “It has been an absolute pleasure to work on and build our iconic game franchises, and I will continue to be an enthusiastic supporter of the future endeavors of this talented team.” I look forward to working on the next chapter of my career and will always be grateful for my time with Warner Bros. Games.”
