“The guy didn’t share much,” she said. “I could tell he wasn’t his usual self when he arrived. He looked shocked.”

Billy, a college student who is a vocal critic of the government on social media, Disappeared on December 21, 2024 at a barbershop in Embu.

Within hours, her family’s worst fears began to unfold.

“Most weekends, we watch football. His club is Chelsea; mine is Arsenal,” said Gerald.

On the evening of Billy’s disappearance, he called to discuss a football match, only to find his son’s phone on the way.

The owner of the barber shop later reported the abduction, sparking a frantic search.

Billy’s mother agonized over the family when she heard the news and in the weeks that followed.

Once found, Billy was taken to the hospital for a routine checkup. His family says he is still recovering from the trauma, but his release has brought them some relief.

Like many who reappear after abductions, Billy said little about the matter, perhaps out of fear, perhaps out of fear.
