The French Prime Minister visited Mayotte after the Chido cyclone
French Prime Minister Francois Bayrou arrived in Mayotte on Monday accompanied by a large delegation, including Education Minister Elisabeth Borne and the new Foreign Minister Manuel Valls. They promised to bring aid to the island and promised “concrete action”. For Mayotte-based journalist Ines Alma, “it’s more about action than words.” Alma added: “With Bayrou visiting for less than 24 hours, (things) cannot be changed.”
