The daughter of pioneer Rea Drummond, Alex, gave birth to her first child

Ree Drummond officially a grandmother!

A pioneer The 55-year-old host took to social media on Wednesday, December 18, to share the happy news that her eldest daughter, Alex, had given birth to her first child, a daughter named Sofia.

“Our first child had our first child,” Drummond signed it Instagram poston which she holds the baby while sitting next to her husband Led Drummond in the hospital room.

“Thank you Lord we will never be the same,” she added, prompting a flood of comments from family, friends and fans.

“Sofia already loves her grandparents,” Alex, 27, wrote in a message to her mom, along with a crying emoji.

Daughter Ree Paige, 24, responded:Grandmother Rere ❤️.”

meanwhile, Sunny Anderson — Colleague Ree from the Food Network — left a sweet note that read, “Sending you all everything you need in good spirits and rest and tissues for happy tears… all the best. Congratulations ❤️.”

Ree shared more pictures on her Instagram Stories, including a close-up of the sleeping baby wrapped in a blanket with a bow wrapped around her head.

“FYI… How come hospital swaddle blankets have the same picture of 30 year old feet,” she wrote in one story, adding a laughing emoji. “Okay, bye.”

In another Story, she reposted Alex’s Instagram birth announcement that she posted jointly with her husband Maurizio Scott on Wednesday.

“She’s here,” Alyaksei captioned his photo carousel. “December 18, 2024 At 2:27 our perfect girl arrived a couple of weeks early, just in time for Christmas! We are so in love and forever changed. Thank the Lord.”

The black-and-white snaps show Alex and Maurizio posing with their newborns right after her arrival. In one emotional shot, a tearful Alex meets Sofia for the first time.

Earlier this year, Alex announced that she and Scott are expanding their family. The couple got married in 2021.

“We can’t wait to meet you baby,” Alex wrote on Instagram. “Little Scott is joining the party this winter!”

At the time, Ree commented: “So happy for you two!! (And for the whole family!) Love you Alex and Mauricio!”

The celebrity chef and lifestyle mogul is also mom to sons Bryce, 21, Jamar, 21, and Todd, 19, whom she shares with Ladd.

Last summer, Rhee then took in blog to discuss Alex’s milestone.

“My child is going to have a child. It’s surreal and I’m sure all of you grandparents can relate to the feeling of leaving your body for a moment (after hearing) news like this,” the chef said.

“We have no idea what grandparenting will look like or how much it will change our lives,” she said, explaining that Alex is due in January 2025.
