The craziest on-screen transformations in the movies of 2024

Several stars took things to the next level by reprising their roles in 2024’s most popular movies.

Cynthia Eriva was painted green for a few hours to play Elphaba aka the Wicked Witch of the West Angry. “It’s going to take anywhere from two hours and 45 minutes to four hours depending on how much we’ve done before we get on set,” the actress explained in her Diversity‘s Conversation “Actors about actors”. with Angelina Jolie in December.

Eriva said “everything” was painted green, from her hands to her “entire head.” Finishing details included green contacts, green nails and freckles.

“I wanted to because I also wanted to see the transformation. I wanted to see someone green,” she shared, noting that some people on set had never seen her without Elphaba makeup. “I went on set and it was the first time they met me as Elphaba, but they didn’t meet me as Cynthia at all because I would have to start my make-up before rehearsals,” she stated.

The surprise of seeing her in green is what Eriv said added to both her performance and that of her co-stars. “I liked that because it meant that when we started filming, I was her and they didn’t know anything but her,” she told Jolie. “So their reaction was always (authentic).”
