The crash of the Azerbaijani plane may have been caused by gunfire, the Minister of Transport said
Azerbaijan’s Digital Development and Transport Minister Rashan Nabiyev said on Friday that the Azerbaijani plane that crashed earlier this week may have been shot down by a weapon, while foreign aviation experts blamed Russian air defense systems for the crash. On Wednesday, the plane flying from Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, to Grozny, the regional capital of the Chechen Republic of Russia, turned towards Kazakhstan and crashed while trying to land. As a result of the accident, 38 people died, and all 29 survivors were injured.
