The CES 2025 monitors I can’t wait to try
There may be other displays that debuted with DisplayPort 2.1a support, but if few manufacturers emphasize it, except for MSI – and while the company shouts it, we could highlight this model. Like others mentioned here, it’s a 4K/240Hz QD-OLED, and the combination of high resolution/refresh rate and high bit depth can use the extra bandwidth of the new standard.
MSI announced the stream of monitors we’re used to seeing at CES, but a few stand out to me. Like me, a 27-inch 500Hz QD-OLED (MPG 272QR QD-OLED X50) as well as a 24-inch, 1080p/600Hz model (MPG 242R X60N) that uses a Rapid TN panel.
It’s not all about gaming, though: one highlight is a 24-inch USB-C portable monitor. I really don’t think 24 inches is portable, but I’m also not six foot plus.
