The best Windows laptops for 2025
If you have held the laptop for too long to get up Windows, now it’s a great time to upgrade. With all over -AI computers, computer manufacturers are in a hurry to launch new designs, including effective new Intel and AMD chips. And thank you to Microsoft’s Copilot+ InitiativeWho started last year, we finally see decent notebooks powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips, which lead to a better battery life and easier designs.
Whether you need premium ultraport, a powerful gaming platform or a universal mobile workstation, our current list of the best Windows laptops highlights our loved ones, which were strictly tested by our team. You can even find a Windows laptop that will fit you better than Apple MacBook if you want to make the switch. What to look for in a Windows laptop
Implementation
How much power do you really need? This is the main question you need to ask yourself when choosing a Windows laptop (or any computational device to be honest). It’s easy to overcome and get a lot more computer than you really need, or skip too much and find yourself with insufficiently powered processor and too little memory. Below we have divided our recommendations into different categories of products, but overall you are looking to get a laptop with at least 16 GB RAM and a modern Intel Core Ultra or AMD Ryzen processor. If you are a gamer, you will also want to make sure you get a decent graphics card. (This is explained in Our guide for the best game notebooks.)
What are AI PCS, Copilot+ and ARM laptops?
Any computer that includes NPU (neural processing unit) is “AI PC” as this chip can load some tasks from the processor and GPU. And since every chipmaker rushes to join Ai Bandwagon, most systems released today are considered AI PCS. The exceptions are some laptops for a workstation with higher powerful and games that can have chips without NPU or extremely cheap notebooks working with low-end chips.
To make it easier to find the Premium AI PC, Microsoft presented its Copilot+ program last year. It calls for NPU notebooks that support at least 40 AI Power Pales, 16GB RAM and 256 GB Storage. The first batch of Copilot+ systems includes the new Surface Pro and Surface laptopand Updated XPS 13S
To make things even more confused, Copilot+ systems include PCS powered by new Qualcomm ARM processors that can launch modern Windows applications, but may have problems with older software and drivers.
Display and webcams
Whether the notebook has a touch screen or a more traditional panel, we are looking for bright displays (300 nits or more) that are easy to use outdoors or in sunny rooms, with the exact colors and wide viewing angles. High refresh screens are great for competitive gamers (or anyone who wants a more hungry scroll of documents), while those with wider color ranges are important for creating content and editing video. And even if you do not plan to spend a lot of time for video calls, each laptop needs a decent webcam – 1080p or higher is preferred.
Ports and connectivity
Even with progress in cellular modems and Wi-Fi, special ports for transferring data or connecting peripherals can make or break a laptop. Ideally, besides the thinnest and most lightweight systems, they come with three USB-C ports, while things like built-in SD card readers can be extremely comfortable when trying to import media from camera. And if the notebook is obsessed with a slow or outdated Wi-Fi modem (looking for Wi-Fi 6 or later), this is basically immediate disqualification.
Battery life
It doesn’t matter how powerful the laptop is, if you fall, when you need the most. We usually look for times of at least ten hours of charging, but when it comes to a good battery life, the longer is always better. This said that the gaming machines with thirsty graphics cards may have to put up with a little less. And on larger machines, it is also important to consider whether the system can be charged via USB-C or if it needs a larger, own power brick.

Frequently Asked questions about Windows laptop
What is the difference between a Windows and Chromebook laptop?
The main difference between a Windows and Chromebook laptop lies in their operating systems. LAPTOPS Windows work on Microsoft’s Windows OS, while Chromebooks use Google’s Chrome OS.
In addition to the use of different operating systems, performance is one of the main differences between the Windows and Chromebook laptop. Windows laptops can be equipped with powerful processors and discreet graphics, making them suitable for demanding tasks such as games or video editing. Chromebook, on the other hand, are usually optimized for speed and simplicity, focusing on easier tasks such as text processing and browsing the net.
In terms of software, Windows Laptops supports a number of desktop programs, while Chromebook mostly uses web applications or Android apps from the Google Play Store. Due to their differences, Chromebook tends to be more accessible as they are mainly designed for basic, everyday tasks. Windows laptops can vary from budget to budget, the latter being suitable for games, professionals or creators.
What is the difference between MacOS and Windows?
As for MacOS and Windows, they are basically two different worlds in the field of computers, each with their own personality. Macos is elegant, minimal and feels quite intuitive, especially if you like things that just “work” outside the box. Apple designs MacOS to work in tandem with its hardware, so if you have an iOS device like an iPhone or iPad, the whole ecosystem synchronizes seamlessly.
Windows is more like Jack carries. It is known for being super flexible and adaptive. Whether you want to set up how things look or start a wide variety of software, Windows gives you this freedom. In addition, it is used broadly in business settings, mainly because it is about longer and is compatible with tons of different programs and hardware.
