The “Bali Nine” drug traffickers are returning to Australia after nearly 20 years in an Indonesian prison

The remaining members of the so-called Bali Nine, a group of Australians jailed since 2005 for trying to smuggle more than eight kilograms of heroin through the Indonesian island of Bali, have returned to Australia. Negotiations on the potential repatriation of the group reportedly began after the election of the last president, Prabowo Subianto.
