The author of “negligent people” Sarah Win-Waliams will testify to the Senate hearing next week

Sarah Win-Waliams, the former Facebook policy director behind the best-selling memoir of his time at the company, will testify in the hearing of the Senate Senior’s subcommittee next week. The testimonials will be the first public remarks of Win-Wiliams, as It is from the promotion of the book.

The upcoming Wynn-Williams appearance in Congress was confirmed by Senator Josh Hooley, who said in statement That she will testify to “Facebook cooperates with the communist regime in China for building tools for censorship, punishes dissidents and will make data from US users for the use of Chinese.”

In her book, Casual peopleWynn-Williams tells Meta With world leaders and government officials, as Facebook’s impact expanded globally in early 2010. Her account has resumed information about Facebook’s attempts to work in China and disclose about his overtures to Chinese government officials.

“We do not manage our services in China today. It’s no secret that we were once interested in this as part of Facebook’s efforts to connect the world,” Meta spokesman Danny Lever said in a statement. “This was widely reported, which began a decade ago. In the end, we decided not to go through the ideas we studied that Mark Zuckerberg announced in 2019”

Prior to the publication of his book, Win-Waliams also filed complaints to report to the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Ministry of Justice on the estimated violation of the company. Although the exact details of these complaints have not been published, the hearing next week will be a significant opportunity for her to speak publicly about what she witnessed.
