The analyst says the West should continue to adjust sanctions against Russia and focus on its implementation
On Friday, the US Treasury Department imposed sanctions on Gazprom Neft and Surgutneftegas, as well as 183 oil tankers, as part of Russia’s so-called “shadow fleet”. FRANCE 24’s Yinka Oyetade speaks to Benjamin Godwin, partner at PRISM Strategic Intelligence. According to him, governments should continue to adapt sanctions and focus on their implementation in order to put long-term pressure on Russia and the Russian energy industry.
