Telemesage entered the spotlight last week After reporting that former US National Security Advisor Mike Walz was using the modified version of the Telemessage signal. Israel -based Telemessage, owned by Smarsh, offers its customers a way to archive messages, including voice notes, from encrypted applications.

Cabinet and waltz members were not compromised, 404 media said, but the hacked data contained the content of messages; Contact information of civil servants; Rear Login IDs for Telemes and others. Data relating to US customs and border protection, Crypto Exchange Coinbase and financial service providers such as SCOTIBANK, have been extracted from the hacker, the report said.

Hack revealed that the archived chat diaries have not been encrypted from end to end between the modified version of the signal that offers a telemesage and the final location where the messages store, the 404 Media reported.

Smarsh, Signal, US Customs and Border Protection, Coinbase and Scotiabank did not immediately return requests for comment.
