Taylor’s Mormon wives, Frankie Paul and Dakota, celebrate Christmas separately

The Secret Life of Mormon Wives stars Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen sparked speculation of a split after publication equally sad — but separate – Christmas.
Taylor, 30, took to TikTok on Wednesday, December 25, with a video of her to cry. “Chaos to pure silence. I wouldn’t wish this pain on anyone,” she wrote next to the message. “If you’re out there, ride, scream, cry, feel the pain, because I promise it’s going to get a lot worse to avoid.”
The reality star clarified in the caption, adding: ‘I’m told you’ve been through it once, you’ll go through it again. #cohabitation #loss #relationship”.
In the comments section, a follower noted that “Dakota’s TikTok brought” them to Taylor’s account. “Just happy he gets to spend the day with him,” she replied, referring to her 8-month-old son Ever and Daktoa.
Meanwhile, Dakota downloaded a TikTok on Tuesday, December 24, with him preparing for holiday festivities solo.
“I wrapped gifts alone. But I’m sober and able to attend my son’s first Christmas,” he captioned the video before adding in a separate message: “He’s the only present I’ll ever need in my life. I like being a dad.”
Supporters The Secret Life of Mormon Wives met with Taylor and Dakota’s public highs and lows. When the first season premiered in September, the couple learned on-screen that they were expecting their first child together before Taylor suffered an ectopic pregnancy.

Season premiere ended with footage from Taylor February 2023 arrest for domestic violence. Following the incident, Taylor was charged with aggravated assault, two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child, child abuse causing injury and criminal mischief. In August 2023, she pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, while the other four charges were dismissed with prejudice, and a plea deal was struck the following month.
“The first few days (when the show came out) I was very busy, so I couldn’t just eat. I had kids, and for some reason I don’t like it when kids watch it,” Taylor, who also has a daughter, Indy, 7, and a son, Ocean, 4, with her ex-husband. Tate Paulexclusively told Us Weekly in a month. “It makes me feel uncomfortable. And then it makes me anxious.”

“It’s really hard for me to watch (me and Dakota’s ups and downs) because it’s all such real feelings. None of this is fabricated or valid or anything. It’s all real,” she said. “So it’s very hard for me to look back on it. This is probably one of the most difficult moments.”
Hulu has renewed the series for a second season starring Taylor and Dakota tried to figure it out their future together. At the time, Taylor said she wanted viewers to see more of Dakota’s “good, soft side.”
“I feel something about him that wasn’t shown on the show. It only showed protection, she continued. “So he says: “I look like such an asshole to you while you’re pregnant — when it’s completely different from how I’ve been treating you all along. Yes, I defended myself in cases, but I am not like you.’
Taylor added: “I’d say we’re working on things and I don’t really have any idea where it’s going to go with us. We are not completely together, but not completely done. I don’t know what the future holds for us. It’s just a lot. So I cope and try to cope. But I don’t want to watch the series.”
