Taylor Swift Was ‘Shocked’ By Travis Kelce’s Surprise Party

The singer was reportedly “shocked” and “overwhelmed” by the NFL star’s thoughtful gesture to celebrate her record-breaking Eras Tour.

Looking to the future after her world tour, Taylor Swift is reportedly planning to take a break from the spotlight to focus on her relationship with Travis Kelce as they both grow more in love.

Swift was surprised by what her boyfriend Kelsey did in her honor. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end threw a surprise Eras Tour closing party to celebrate the end of her chart-topping world tour.

Apparently, she thought they were only going for an intimate dinner, but was shocked to be greeted by guests waiting to celebrate her.

The source said Page six that she was “thrilled” that Kells “went out of his way” to do it for her and she really enjoyed it.

“Taylor was beyond shocked when she saw everyone standing there,” the insider shared. “It was the last thing she expected and she couldn’t believe that Travis had gone out of his way to throw her a surprise party.”

“She thought it was such a thoughtful gesture and such a sweet gesture. It really meant so much to her,” the insider added.

Kells left no stone unturned to organize the event, as it was “something he knew he wanted to do” for Swift and had planned it “for a while”.

A source who spoke to the news outlet noted that Kelsey “wanted to throw Taylor a surprise party because he felt she deserved a big celebration after all the hard work she’s put in.” Kells is “so proud of her” and “grateful that he was able to do it without a hitch,” the insider shared.

According to Daily MailThe Super Bowl champ had some outside help pulling it all together, as it turns out, he recruited party planner Amanda Carle for the job.

Photos from the event have since flooded social media, with Kelce’s friend sharing photos with the soccer star and the mystery blonde.

“Mrs. Do it Amanda Carla,” Harry Clarke, Kelsey’s close friend, wrote with a sunglasses emoji, tagging Carla herself on Instagram. “Thank you for organizing a wonderful event.”

The party was attended by some of Swift’s close friends and associates, including Ashley Avignon and Brittany Mahomes, the latter of whom dressed as Taylor & Travis with her husband Patrick Mahomes.

Now that she’s wrapped up her tour, Swift is looking to get some much-needed rest and focus on her romance with Kelce.

The “Bad Blood” singer has been touring for almost 2 years, starting her tour in March 2023. The last concert of the tour ended on December 8 in Vancouver, British Columbia, after which she appeared to be resting.

“Taylor is exhausted,” the source said US Weekly. “She really wants to rest and relax.”

Swift reportedly plans to stay in Kansas City with Kelce. She wants to rekindle their romance after spending little time together due to a busy tour schedule.

“Taylor plans to stay home for a while and hibernate (with Travis),” the insider shared.

“They want to do ‘normal things’ as a couple,” another source added. “Taylor and Travis really want to spend time together because (that’s when) the little nuances of a person’s personality and habits come into play. They learn so much about each other.”

The soccer player praised the Eras Tour Swift on an episode of Kelce’s podcast, “New Heights.”

“Shout out to Theu and the incredible Eras Tour is finally over,” Kels said according to Daily Mail.

His brother and podcast co-host Jason asked, “And how much was it?” Kelce responded, “I think it was almost two years. In March of that year, when we played the Super Bowl 149 show. It’s crazy.”

He added: “Over 10 million people in the stands for the whole thing, it’s pretty crazy.”

Kelsey also acknowledged the tremendous effort behind the scenes: “Thank you to everyone who was a part of this show. Obviously it’s her music, it’s her tour, but it was a complete production, man, that kind of thing.’

“It was the best tour in the world because of the great number of people. But mostly thanks to Taylor!” – noted the football player.

Although the 35-year-old singer wants to take some time off, sources say the singer is already thinking about her next album and potential tour amid reports that she and Kelce could be moving forward with their relationship very soon.

“A lot of it depends on what happens next year with Travis,” the second source said US Weekly. “She told her team to give her one year to see how things go in her personal life.”

The couple are also ready to take their romance a step further, with an insider saying they “love being engaged” but are “not in a rush.”

“Taylor is really into Travis, but jumping is not her style,” the insider shared. “It’s just not the way she does (things). Marriage is a big deal and she wants (to be) forever.”
