‘Taxes like developed nation, livelihood like 1930s’: Post on India’s poor civic standards sparks debate online

Ankhur Tyagi (@Theakurttygi) viral tweet flamed after the fierce online discussion of India’s public infrastructure and management that he insisted that what the Indians need more than the therapy for 7 days.

According to his widely circulated in X, Tyag wrote:

“Every Indian must be traveling out of the country at least once. Only then do you realize how shocking our standards is everyday life. “

“We have normalized the dysfunction. Look at Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, etc. Forget cycling. “

Tyagi also questioned the return of the taxpayer’s money, adding: “We pay taxes like a developed nation, but forced to live like 1930.”

The post has generated mixed reactions on the platform. While some, others agreed with this, others pointed out the role of individual responsibility in maintaining public spaces.
