Syria and Lebanon promise “long-term strategic relations” after the ouster of Assad

Syria’s new ruler Ahmed al-Sharaa and Lebanon’s prime minister vowed on Saturday to build lasting ties after the ouster of Bashar al-Assad. Sharaa said that the new Syria will “stand at an equal distance from everyone” in Lebanon and “try to solve the problems through negotiations and dialogue”.
