The images come after the actress hit back at critics who shamed her body on social media by making a video highlighting her physical transformation for the role of boxer Christy Martin.

Sweeney recently drew attention in a daring photo shoot on a rooftop in New York.
The 27-year-old actress looked confident in an unbuttoned brown knit cardigan, teamed with blue jeans, white trainers and a small Miu Miu bag in the snaps posted to Instagram.
In one of the striking photos, she is captured lying back, her cardigan falling open to reveal her toned figure, while in the video she holds up a designer handbag to cover her chest.
Sweeney captioned the message “rain, rain, go away.”

The bold snap comes after Sweeney appeared to hit back at trolls who criticized her appearance with a powerful video montage shared on Instagram.
The clip began with scathing comments calling her “too pale”, “vain” and “at best a 5”.
Some trolls went so far as to call her “average,” comparing her to Miss Piggy and suggesting that she “could be a candidate for Ozempic.
In response, the White Lotus star showed off her incredible transformation by sharing photos and videos of her intense training for her upcoming role as boxing legend Christy Martin.

The actress criticized Hollywood’s “fake” culture of women’s empowerment

In an interview with Fair of vanitySweeney called the “fake” culture of Hollywood’s supposed commitment to “women empowering other women.”
“It’s very offensive to see women tearing other women down,” Sweeney told the publication. “Especially when women who have achieved success in other areas of their industry see young talent working very hard — hoping to make their dreams come true — and then try to disparage and discredit any work they’ve done.”
The actress and her team recently had to fend off a female producer, Carol Baum, who questioned her looks and talent.
Although Sweeney became stronger, the experience showed her that the rhetoric of women’s empowerment was nothing more than a facade.

“This whole industry, all the people are saying, ‘Women are empowering other women.’ None of this is happening,” said the star of “Euphoria”. “It’s all fake and a cover for all the other crap they’re saying behind everyone’s back.”

In an interview, the “Euphoria” star tried to explain why she has a strong opinion about Hollywood, attributing it to the fact that women often bring each other up as competitors.
“I mean, there’s so much research and so many different opinions about what causes it,” Sweeney said.
She theorized that this behavior stems from a “generational problem of believing that only one woman can be at the top.”
Sweeney explained, “There is one woman who can get a man. There is one woman who can be, I don’t know, anything. So everyone else feels like they have to fight each other or destroy this woman instead of being like, let’s lift each other up.’
Expressing her frustration, she added: “I’m still trying to figure it out. I’m just trying to do my best here. Why am I being attacked?”

In a previous Instagram post, Sweeney looked completely transformed for her latest role as pro boxer Christy Martin.
She shared a behind-the-scenes moment, posing in costume next to Martin, both holding fists together.
In the caption, she wrote: “We just finished filming The Christy Martin Story and it was one of the most emotional and transformative experiences of my life. Christy’s journey has been so inspiring and having her by my side through the process has been nothing short of amazing. surreal”.
