On Friday, January 10, Carter took to Xformerly known as Twitter to share a message for “ignorant people”.
“I want to say something to ignorant people … it doesn’t matter how much money you have .. nobody wants to see everything they worked so hard for .. in ashes!” she wrote. “Like, it’s not right when you tell happy people to ‘just buy a new house,’ right? It was amazing.”
Besides, Carter’s sentiment wasn’t over. She followed up with another tweet, writing: “We pray for all… Chile, we live in terrible times!”

A hill reports that more than 35,000 acres of land have been burned and at least 10 people have been killed.
Instagram user @abominationhottie wrote, “I think what people miss is the fact that you can empathize with someone but NOT empathize with them. People can sympathize because it sucks that people are losing their homes and belongings, but asking low-income people to SYMPATHIZE with people who have multiple houses… that’s something else entirely…”
While Instagram user @adacargo_ added, “To be honest. Some of the comments are very inhumane.’
Instagram user @michlisaelle wrote, “Imagine not having the money to replace what was lost. Now THAT is scary. Yes, I can sympathize with the loss of the home you’ve been in forever, but my greatest sympathy goes out to the people who can’t replace that home and have to legitimately start from scratch and build their way back up!”

There are chefs, babysitters, cleaners, etc. who are losing their jobs along with these burning houses. And not all people are rich. Why is it so hard to empathize with people who are going through something.’
