South Korean won falls to 15-year low against dollar
Donald Trump has spoken out against a federal bill introduced by congressional leadership, setting off a dramatic fight just two days before funding expires and the government begins a shutdown.
“The only way to do that is with a temporary funding bill WITHOUT DEMOCRATIC DATA coupled with a debt ceiling hike,” President-elect and Vice President-elect J.D. Vance said in a statement to X. Our Country.
The pair said that “Republicans in Congress need to GET SMARTER and GET TOUGH” and “if Democrats are threatening to shut down the government unless we give them everything they want, CALL THEIR BLUFF.”
The 1,500-page continuing resolution would keep government funding until March 14.
