CONMEBOL President FIFA’s official proposal will expand the 2030 World Cup to 64 teams.

President of South American football Alejandro Dominguez, CONMEBOL, made an official proposal to expand the 2030 World Cup to 64 teams.

The proposal was originally presented by a representative of the FIFA of the FIFA Council of FIFA, led by President of the President Gianni Infantino.

“We are convinced that the centennial celebration will be unique, because 100 years are not only once,” said Dominguez, CONMEBOL said during the opening speech in the 80th ordinary congress.

The 2030 World Cup has already been built to be the most common publication for six host people spread on three continents.

Uruguay was the original World Cup home in 1930 and is planned to hold a game of a game. Paraguay, Argentina, Spain, Portugal and Morocco are also hosting.

“Therefore, we offer this anniversary for the first time with 64 teams, at the same time,” Dominguez said.

There were 32 teams in the World Cup in Qatar in 2022. This number will be expanded to 48 in the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

The expansion of 64 teams would guarantee a place of CONMEBOL member country No. 10 in a larger tournament. Venezuela is the only one who is never inappropriate for a cup of world.

“This will allow all countries to experience the world experience, and therefore no one is out of the party on the planet.” Dominguez said.

When the FIFA reaffirmed the movement, it would create a tournament of 128 matches, and will double the number of 64 playgrounds played by 1998 to 2022.

Infantino has received more revenue to make more income to give more income to 211 members of FIFA, pushing more and new tournaments for larger and new tournaments in the presidency since 2016.

However, UEFA President Alexander Jefer’s 64 teams called the World Cup “a bad idea.”

Critics of the 64 team proposals weaken the quality of the game and will devalue the selection program on most continents.
