Some Walmart managers are making over $600K

Some Walmart managers Get a pay stub that pushes their total compensation, including stock grants and bonuses, to more than $600,000.
The nation’s largest private employer is raising the salary range for its market managers, who oversee store managers at about a dozen locations, from $130,000 to $260,000.However, Walmart said most of its 440 market managers in the U.S. already falls within the new salary range.
The company is also increasing its annual stock grant from $75,000 to $100,000 and increasing its bonus potential to 100% of salary, up from 90%.
In total, that’s about $620,000.
Walmart changes headlines, pay structure for corporate staff
“Walmart is increasing base pay, bonus opportunities and annual stock awards for our market leaders,” Walmart said in a statement, adding that the role is “key to serving our customers.”

The changes will take effect at the start of fiscal year 2026, meaning 100% of the bonus potential will be reflected in their March 2025 payout. According to Walmart, employees will receive a $100,000 stock grant.
This marks the latest in a series of investments the company has made in its hourly and salary roles that began in 2015. It also comes on the heels of a solid salary increase and Strong growth in retail sales In December, as US employers hired more workers in a generally tight labor market.

How Walmart Wins With Higher-Income Shoppers

Starting Feb. 1, the store’s current average salary of $117,000 will rise to $128,000, the retail giant said.In addition, the annual bonus could be as high as 200% of base salary if executives meet certain targets and profit metrics. :
The company also launched a new bonus program hourly for colleagues.
